Este documento tiene la intención de presentar y comentar la traducción de la Ilíada hecha por el P. Manuel Alves Correia, hecho en prosa, partiendo directamente del griego y publicado en 1944-1945 en tres volúmenes. Comentando la obra de Alves Correia, este artículo busca rescatar una traducción que, tal vez porque fue criticada por su lenguaje, o por el momento histórico en el que fue publicada, ha recibido menos atención hasta la fecha de lo que debería. Este trabalho pretende apresentar e comentar a tradução da Ilíada feita pelo Pe. Manuel Alves Correia, feita em prosa, partindo diretamente do grego e publicada em 1944-1945 em três volumes. Ao comentar o trabalho de Alves Correia, este artigo busca resgatar uma tradução que, talvez por ter sido alvo de críticas por sua linguagem, ou pelo momento histórico em que foi publicada, recebeu até hoje menos atenção do que deveria.
