Description
Summary:This article aims to present the Brazilian reader with a bibliographic balance of the general interpretations about the character and functioning of the Bolivian State in the 1970s. To this end, it addresses the following points: 1) presentation of the predominant interpretations about the permanence of the Bolivian military regime over the Banzer period ; and 2) presentation of the most important interpretations about the character and functioning of the Bolivian State, often considered to be a "backward state". The bibliographic analysis made here seeks to contribute to the development of a larger research on the subject: to carry out an investigation of the military regime in the light of the structural and global functioning of the Bolivian State.
