Description
Summary:The text presents reflections on Italianity, with an empirical circumscription in the city of Toledo, Paraná. The central objective is to highlight aspects of the Eurocentric imaginary that support this ethnic identity. Through subject narratives and analysis from the perspective of the coloniality of power, I sought to reveal the relationship between the construction of a supposedly superior identity, based on the Other's stereotype, and the invention of an ethnicity linked to the foundations of the Western imagination. Thus revealing the turbid side of Italianity.
