Los dos historiadores del arte examinados corresponden a un ambiente intelectual similar, ya que no están distanciados en el tiempo y pertenecen a la misma corriente historiográfica de análisis del arte: la escuela de Viena de Historiografía del Arte. Esta corriente, cuyas bases teóricas quedaron conocidas como "Teoría de la Visibilidad Pura", será el objeto de aprehensión de este artículo. Este artigo busca explorar a perspectiva de uma Historiografia Comparada da Arte, analisando as abordagens de dois importantes historiadores da Arte: Alois Riegl (1858-1905) e Heinrich Wölfflin (1864-1945). Os dois historiadores da arte examinados correspondem a um ambiente intelectual similar, uma vez que não estão distanciados no tempo e pertencem à mesma corrente historiográfica de análise da arte: a escola de Viena de Historiografia da Arte. Esta corrente, cujas bases teóricas ficaram conhecidas como “Teoria da Visibilidade Pura”, será o objeto de apreensão deste artigo.
