| Summary: | This text is a shout of resistance that thinks the coextensivity between the artistic coefficient and the life coefficient as a production of worlds. I appeal to Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guattari, Michel Foucault, Jacques Rancière, Marcel Duchamp, and François Soulages to think about art, and the photographic image more specifically, as ethical-aesthetic-political fiction. In an invitation to invent other softness / sensibilities in the world, I understand fiction as a political exercise to demystify the absolute truths that crop our body and reality itself. In a context of emptying of our imaginative capacity, fiction becomes a tool that reactivates in our body / subjectivity critical-inventive flows. It is inthis sense that we bet on /im/possible as a way of overcoming an apparent exhaustion of the present and resignifying life. Drawing on some of my works, I explore the idea that on the ground of fiction, time gains several layers, the present expands in the encounter of thepast with the future, and reality unfolds in multiple and vast worlds. |
