The apinajé: interfaces between the indigenous world, the agencies of the national society and the new social subjects that make up the current multi-ethnic scenario

The article summarizes some data, resulting from a fieldwork realized in January of 2008 among the Apinajé in the state of Tocantins. The data refers to the socioeconomic situation currently experienced by this indigenous population and issues related to health, education and gender.
