Summary:The article addresses the problem of sociodiversity in the Uraricoera river motivated by a memory concerning the ethnonym Sapará. Present in the historical records during the XVIII century this ethnonym, as many other, began to disappear from the historical records during the XIX century and reached de XX century referred only to some individuals, living among the Makuxi and Taurepang in the meddle portion of Uraricoera river. The memory on sociodiversity emphasizes the myth of creation and the arrival of white man. The article also suggests that the memory is a response for the permanent land conflicts in Roraima.
