| Summary: | The second issue of the electronic journal Música Popular em Revista arrives to the public. Throughout the editorial process, we received a large number of works dealing with different aspects of popular music, coming from different areas of knowledge and with multiple theoretical perspectives. The present number of MPR expresses this diversity, since it is composed of texts that cover everything from music in the 19th century to funk clips from the beginning of the 21st century, produced by researchers linked to different academic fields, among them Musicology, History, Sociology, Communication, Journalism, Dance and Education. As a result, this set of works makes it possible for popular music, as a phenomenon, to be viewed and reviewed under different aspects and perspectives. |
