| Summary: | The late twentieth century and early twenty-first century was marked by paths and pitfalls of the music industry in the new digital age, especially in what pertains embraced the music market with free programs for illegal downloads. This perspective was brought up in various debates, including legal, because the major labels were clearly losing market share to the digital universe and consequently its dividends decreased considerably. However, this article will discuss the position, production and the role of record labels in the decades 1990 to 2000, 2010 in opposition to this new digital age, besides bringing data showing that our chosen period was a time of restructuring of the music industry. We hypothesized that this new land there was a new administration of the song, however, in contrast, led to gaps capable of housing innovations in this field. |
