La canción popular, como objeto de discusión, siempre estuvo presente en las páginas de Música Popular em Revista. En esta edición, este objeto se presenta de manera central a través del dossier Voz en la canción popular, organizado por la profesora e investigadora Regina Machado, quien también redactó una presentación para el mismo. Los trabajos seleccionados por el organizador del dossier muestran la diversidad de la canción popular, que va desde el canto indígena al rap, y también apuntan a varios enfoques para el análisis de este material, incluyendo aspectos lingüísticos, escénicos, orales y pedagógicos. A canção popular, enquanto objeto de discussão, esteve sempre presente nas páginas de Música Popular em Revista. Nesta edição, esse objeto se apresenta de maneira central através do dossiê Voz na canção popular, organizado pela professora e pesquisadora Regina Machado, que também redigiu uma apresentação para o mesmo. Os trabalhos selecionados pela organizadora do dossiê evidenciam a diversidade da canção popular, abrangendo desde o canto indígena até o rap, e ainda apontam para diversas abordagens para a análise desse material, incluindo questões linguísticas, performáticas, fonoaudiológicas e pedagógicas.
