| Summary: | One of the marks of the work of the musician and composer Milton Nascimento is the strong presence of nostalgic traces in his recordings, beacuse, in many cases, the events related to the present time are seen in a negative way, especially if compared to the situations related to the past, moment in which people would supposedly have a better life. This is another essential characteristic of his production: a radical critique of the currently model of society. Nostalgia and criticism are, therefore, simultaneous and inseparable determinations, which are one of the structures of their songs. Therefore, the question is to point out that this remembrance of the past is quite well delineated: it corresponds to the beginnings of Brazilianindustrialization. |
