| Sumario: | The article presents an approach to the discourse analysis of the Puerto Rican bolero No es venganza, popular in the interpretation of Carmen Delia Dipini and considered as the answer to the Samba-canção Vingança, by the renowned Brazilian composer Lupicínio Rodrigues. For the analysis, we use the tools of semiolinguistic theory exposed by Patrick Charaudeau, which allow us to establish the internal and external circuits of every act of language, as a step for the construction of meaning. In the interpretation of the conversation, the male and female discourses present in the song of love produced in Latin America in the first half of the twentieth century are brought into dialogue with the processes of social change and accelerated modernization shared by most Latin American societies in the period, especially with regard to the possible transformations occurring in the romantic relationship between men and women of bolero. |
