Description
Summary:The article analyzes the cultural review Cuadernos Hispanoamericanos (CH), between the years 1948-1955, as part of the cultural project planned by the dictatorship of Francisco Franco for Latin America, which sought to defend a Hispanic universal for Hispanoamerica. The analysis begins with the Spanish situation before the Francoism, in order to understand the isolation of the country after the Civil War. This context motivated the creation of a transnational magazine that looked for to affirm Spanish culture as the founder of Latin American unity, guided by the reaffirmation of Catholicism, the Spanish language and conservatism in opposition to the spread of the republican ideology and the secularization after the context of the Spanish Civil War.
