Summary:The present paper examines the exclusion mechanisms observed in a study on the change processes that occurred in two different companies: the first, a manufacturing plant located in the interior of the state of São Paulo with a branch in Recife and linked to an Anglo-Dutch group. In this article , the emphasis falls on the ways of exclusion of female labor observed in the production sector of the manufacturing plant during the selection process, on the occasion of pregnancy or sick leaves, and at resuming work, when female workers are classified as allocated.
