Description
Summary:The growing acquisition of the eating out habit at the big cities in the last decades, have been produced great transformations in the eating practices, fact which was central in my master degree work and have been oriented my interests at this moment. This text shows superficially the opposition between an order dictated by commercial logic and another one by ideas and representations at restaurants in Sao Paulo, city which is also knew as a gastronomic capital. So my interest is discussing the idea of cultural diversity appropriated by the city and it influence in food choices. I try to show how these aspects are intermingled in levels represented by the food, “eating out” and restaurants.
