| Summary: | Our central objective in this paper is characterize the street work in Salvador (ambulants, street vendors) inside the general movement of capitalist accumulation, or either, put the informality of streets inside the context of labour´s subordination to capital. Thus, it is intended to demonstrate the determination contained in the activities developed in streets which are beyond its first form, beyond its appearance. In this way, this paper is delineated as an attempt of disruption with the "common thought" about the things and their superficial, apparent form. Form which, according to Kosik (1976, p.15), "... does not constitute a natural quality of the thing and the reality: it is the projection, in the conscience of the subject, of determined petrified historical conditions ". |
