Summary:The Grupo Opinião was a essential moment in theatrical production in the 1960s. His presence in the Brazilian cultural scene was important because, even before being consecrated as a public sucess with productions such as Show Opinião and Liberdade, Liberdade, enabled the organization of the left intellectualized around a project of cultural resistance constructed by “group” in dialogue with the middle classes. Result of a process of accommodation of the left inside the cultural industry in Brazil, the Grupo Opinião was the result of a combination of factors that, concomitantly, favored its visibility in the ambit of commercial theatrical productions at the moment, as well acted in the politicization of their public spectator.
