Sumario:Investigating the Gruppo degli Otto and his works in the collection in the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art, University of São Paulo faces the concept of “concrete-abstract” proposed by the art critic historian who headed the Gruppo, Lionello Venturi. His Astratto-Concreto reverberates to a great extent in his production, becoming definer for the understanding and the production of a work of art according to Venturi. This article aims to explore the emergence of this concept and its role in the Italian art scene of the Cold War.
