Description
Summary:This report aims to address the challenges of participatory methodology in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the future perspectives for community-university communication within the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). The Model Architecture and Urbanism Studio (AMA) - Model Office of Architecture and Urbanism (EMAU) of UFSC - works as a tool for access to decent housing, through participatory architecture as dialogical communication. Based on the experience of the extension project with the Ponta do Leal community, located in the Balneário Estreito neighborhood in Florianópolis/SC, the goal is to develop activities with the residents, adapting the methodology according to the context in which it is found. In these terms, the exchange of knowledge is fundamental to guarantee the user’s autonomy. Therefore, the report critically addresses the progress of the participatory project, presenting the scope and barriers encountered in this practice. Thus, through objective analysis, it is intended to collaborate for the dialogical praxis, the reflection on the formation of the Architect and Urbanist and what is its social role, contributing to the development of a socially committed university.
