Description
Summary:Elderly people present declines of sensorial, cognitive and physical order due to the aging process. Therefore, special attention should be given to this group of people, including when it comes to use of internet and digital technologies. Among digital technologies for education, the virtual learning environments (VLE) must be adapted to the characteristics and needs of different subjects, including the elderly. In this sense, this paper presents results of a pilot study whose main objective was developing and evaluating a interaction redesign proposal of a course in VLE Moodle, adapting it to the W3C guidelines and recommendations of WCAG 2.0 to improving their use by elderly. The results indicate interaction and stimulation improvement by elderly when they used the Moodle VLE modified.
