Description
Summary:The Earth is in transformation since its origin and understanding that history is a complex task that requires different fields, such as Geology, Paleontology, and Biology. The problem underlying this article is: how to work the Planet's History without reinforcing the view of scientific knowledge as immutable and the result of isolated efforts by scientists? Therefore, we formulated a didactic game in a role-playing game (RPG) model presented here. The content approach, supported by Ludwik Fleck and his 'collective thought' conceptualization, privileged the History and Nature of Science. The game seeks to demystify the vision of science as solitary and individualistic work. Playfully, the game proposes problem situations related to the Planet's History, stimulating the students' conversation during the game, and the association of the information received by each one. The aim is to formulate hypotheses about the analyzed situation, reinforcing the idea of science as a collective construction.
