Summary:This paper is a report of a practice carried out in two classes of a distance learning discipline in which it was sought to innovate in a graduation level of education. The need for innovation in education has become an imperative in the current context and implies the construction of pedagogical practices that respond it placing the student as protagonist and the teacher as advisor in the teaching and learning process. Thus, the “Cooperative Spaces” practice was planned and executed, which included active methodologies, the education tripod such as teaching, researching and extension as well as the use of technologies, seeking to foster cooperation between the members. The practice proved to be fruitful in its results, with good acceptance by the students and greater commitment to their individual and collective learning.
