Description
Summary:The purpose of this article is to analyze how the demands of the labor market, the transformation of companies and the political environment impact technical and technological training careers. From the critical historical referential, some interpretative categories present the acceleration stage of the training and its impacts on the design and modeling of the formal educational processes. The study considers the social, historical and political context of professional education in Ecuador and seeks to highlight its developments. The analysis showed the approximation of the university to the labor context and the contradiction between the needs of humanistic training for complex environments and utilitarian training for maintaining operational demands of the market.
