Description
Summary:This article presents the analyses and results obtained from a study of the lithic collection at the Vallone Archeological Site in the lower Paranapanema region. We undertook a study of the technology involved in the production of flaked stone artifacts to investigate the stages of the operational chain. The results obtained made it possible to delineate considerations and comparethe lithic industry at the Vallone Site with the results of other studies undertaken in the lower Paranapanema region. That analysis sought to contribute to elucidating questions concerning the regional dynamics in which the sites in the study area were inserted and in that way obtain an understanding of production technology as a transmitter of the cultural symbols of the population that produced the objects.
