| Summary: | The main goal of this article is to present the lithic industry of the Caconde 6 archaeological site, identified by the Projeto de Resgate Arqueológico UHE Caconde (Archaeological Rescue Project UHE Caconde), located in the city of Caconde, in the northeast of São Paulo State, Brazil. This rescue project was undertaken by the archaeological consultancy company Documento: Patrimônio cultural, Antropologia e Arqueologia Ltda (Document: Cultural patrimony, Anthropology and Archaeology Ltd.). The present analysis also marks the beginning of a partnership between Documento and the Núcleo de Estudos Estratégicos / NEE (Centre of Strategic Studies) of the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Campinas State University), forming NEE – Arqueologia Pública (NEE – Public Archaeology). The material was analyzed by students of the university, in a newly opened laboratory at the campus. |
