| Summary: | Knowing that popular songs appear at a certain place and time, this article travels to the last decades of the 20th century, gathering stories and meanings which, on the outside, do not separate from the song "Aqui e Agora" (1977) by Gilberto Gil. Firstly, the text goes through interviews, testimonials and documentaries, rereading considerations about the events surrounding the song. Secondly, considering that the title works as part of the program, the article ascertains how the name of the song is heard in its time: "here and now" are two loose words that unite to indicate the space-time of the enunciator? Or do they gain broader meanings? Dealing with issues such as these, the article draws conclusions that, ultimately, point to a link between the inside and the outside of the song, noticing that several are the “hearings” that, at the same time, intertwine from the voice of a character. |
