Description
Summary:This article presents a brief reflection on black women, workers and domestic workers in Brazil in the midst of the new coronavirus pandemic. We analyze this situation through two current examples, having as a guide the works of the author Carolina Maria de Jesus. To develop the analysis, we used journalistic reports and an individual interview, in order to draw a parallel between two case studies: domestic work carried out in conditions similar to slavery X “legalized” domestic work, both guided by a structure of inequality social which allowed us to conclude that captivity, while understood as a social phenomenon, has much deeper roots of a multifaceted character.
