Description
Summary:The Brazilian educational field, in the 1950s, was favorable for practical initiatives aimed at renovating secondary education. Thus, the experimental classes became part of the intended pedagogical innovations. In São Paulo, these experiences counted on the pioneering spirit of Luis Contier, who, after his internship at the Center International d´Études Pédagogiques, in Sèvres, implemented, contrary to current legislation, the first experimental classes in a state institute. The empirical corpus of the present research - collected in Brazilian and French collections: national and international periodicals in circulation at the time; official documents; class reports; reports and documents from alumni and teachers. Concepts of appropriation and circulation, by Roger Chartier, will be used; tactics and strategy, by Michel de Certeau, and those on the field, by Pierre Bourdieu.
