| Sumario: | The purpose of this work is to collaborate with the deepening of the critical reception of the sculptor Agnaldo dos Santos (1926-1962), establishing contact between his production and the formation of the Museu de Arte Negra (MAN), idealized by Abdias do Nascimento (1914-2011). The constitution of the MAN collection was characterized by the attempt to bring together works that were premised on aesthetic standards of African origin. The purpose is to observe the diversity of intentions within the scope of Agnaldo dos Santos' aesthetic choices in his artistic practice and the formation of the MAN collection. |
