Description
Summary:This article is characterized as a bibliographic review and aims to discuss actions for the conservation of science teaching objects that are possible to be carried out within the scope of activities developed by school institutions. Based on the context of the schools, were described the most appropriate materials and basic processes for preventive and curative conservation practices. It was argued about the importance of maintaining collections in schools and the need for involvement of school communities for the conservation of their cultural heritage. For this, were pointed some possibilities of controlled use of the collections, both for the preservation of the memory and history of the institutions and for didactic purposes, especially in the disciplines of Natural Sciences and Chemistry.
