Description
Summary:The objective of this study is to present Mnemotechnics as a resource for resignifying Biology contents in Integrated High School (EMI) through the correlation with the Theory of Meaningful Learning (TAS) proposed by Ausubel (1918-2008) and contextualized by Moreira (2012) , as well as what is established in the guiding principles of Vocational and Technological Education (EPT) of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology (IF's). For this, a vast literature review with a qualitative approach was used to define the central concepts of SAD, Mnemotechnics and Neuroscience. We conclude that, through the relevance of the TAS, it is feasible to incorporate the use of mnemonic techniques in the EMI/EPT as an instrument for resignifying the students' knowledge and subsumers, achieved through the teacher's mediation in the use of integrative pedagogical practices and that the understanding of neuroeducation can help in this construction process that stimulate the maximization of the learning capacity from the realization of active, interdisciplinary and contextualized practices. In Brazil, research, use and publications in this area are still incipient, the vast majority of the volume of information is conditioned to few translations of international works.
