Description
Summary:The purpose of this article is to present a sociological reading of the poem O cão sem plumas, by the Pernambucan writer João Cabral de Melo Neto. The analysis was conceived from the socio-historical and biographical conditions in which it was thought and written. The analytical cut was planned so that the reader will be confronted with a poem permeated with indications of its author's critical position in relation to Northeastern regionalism, led by Gilberto Freyre. In addition, another striking aspect has to do with the fact that the poem represents a certain historical and biographical articulation between migration, city, and literature.
