Summary:This research investigates the photographic series Brasilia Teimosa, made between 2005 and 2006, by the brazilian artist Bárbara Wagner. Situated in the scope of documentary photography, its images raise questions beforehand about this legacy, using color and artificial light, performativity of the characters and the appropriation of media formulas for the portraits elaboration. Therefore I examined the ways in which Brasilia Teimosa moves further apart from the photographic documentary traditions and to what extent it dialogues with contemporary propositions of this approach.
