| Summary: | ASCURI is a Cultural Association of Indigenous Filmmakers in Mato Grosso do Sul, composed of indigenous Terena, Guarani and Kaiowá people. It was created in 2008 and since then has been producing films and audiovisual training workshops in indigenous villages. The purpose of this article is to reflect on the training workshops in which ASCURI members participated during its creation period (2008-2010). This path brings a problematization about the cultural policies in force in this period, alongside a discussion about the proposal of horizontality in the production process, which is defended by ASCURI as a way to teach and produce films. |
