| description | This article discusses the reception and agency of indigenous cinemas with indigenous and non-indigenous audiences. The narratives and analyzes described here are based on the authors’ experience of organizing a project about indigenous cinema and arts, the Mostra Tela Indígena, in the south of the country. In the four editions of this project, several indigenous films from Brazil and the Americas were exhibited for an audience composed of both non-indigenous and indigenous peoples. We will discuss indigenous cinemas and other artistic expressions in the aforementioned exhibition, treating these different cinemas as an agency that produces new contacts and meetings. The circulation of these movies and arts, together with their creators, shows how the cinema screen is a powerful space for the continuity of filmmaking, for encounters and the realization of a cosmocinepolitics. Our aim is to reflect about the spaces in which films circulate and how they create agency for new speeches, meetings and productions. |

Este artículo analiza los cines indígenas a través de su recepción y agencia frente al público indígena y no indígena. Los informes y análisis que aquí se presentan se basan en la experiencia de los autores en la organización de un proyecto centrado en los cines y las artes indígenas del sur del país, la Mostra Tela Indígena. En las cuatro ediciones de este proyecto, se proyectaron varias películas indígenas de Brasil y América ante un público compuesto tanto por no indígenas como por indígenas. El texto hablará de los cines indígenas y de otras expresiones artísticas en el mencionado escaparate, tratando estos cines como una agencia que produce nuevos contactos y encuentros. La circulación de estas obras, junto con sus creadores, muestra cómo la pantalla de cine es un espacio potencial de continuidad en la realización de películas, un poderoso espacio de encuentro y de realización de una cinecosmopolítica. Nuestra intención, por lo tanto, es reflexionar sobre los espacios por los que circulan las películas y cómo hacen surgir nuevos discursos, encuentros y producciones. Este artigo debate os cinemas indígenas através de sua recepção e agência frente ao público indígena e não indígena. Os relatos e análises aqui tratados se baseiam na experiência dos autores de organizar um projeto voltado para os cinemas e as artes indígenas no sul do país, a Mostra Tela Indígena. Nas quatro edições deste projeto, diversos filmes indígenas do Brasil e das Américas foram exibidos para um público composto tanto por não indígenas quanto por indígenas. O texto irá discutir os cinemas indígenas e outras expressões artísticas na mostra já citada, tratando esses cinemas como uma agência que produz novos contatos e encontros. A circulação dessas obras, junto de seus criadores, mostra como a tela do cinema é um potencial espaço de continuidade do fazer fílmico, potente espaço de encontros e de realização de uma cinecosmopolítica. Nosso intuito, desse modo, é refletir sobre os espaços pelos quais os filmes circulam e como eles agenciam novos discursos, encontros e produções.
