This is a brief history of how the myth of the origin of the sacred bird Kovoe traveled through different times, media, graphics, and languages, until it was expressed in cinema. The story is structured around two axes: first, the communitarian character of this filmmaking process, providing an experience of retaking the teko joja (harmonious way of being), and second, the relationship between this process and the yvy rendy (spiritual world), with the ñanderu and ñandesy (prayer leaders, shamans, spiritual leaders) as the main guides and agents of this relationship. Immersed in a cosmological landscape in which different worlds are connected by different languages, the images and sounds of Ascuri's cinema - as well as the body-objects that produce and store them - are also integrated as active elements in this field of mediations. |

Se trata de una breve historia de cómo el mito del origen del pájaro sagrado Kovoe pasó por diferentes épocas, medios de comunicación, gráficos y lenguajes hasta que se plasmó en el cine. El relato se articula en torno a dos ejes: por un lado, el carácter comunitario de este proceso de filmación, proporcionando una experiencia de retomar el teko joja (forma armoniosa de ser), y por otro, la relación entre este proceso y el yvy rendy (mundo espiritual), con los ñanderu y ñandesy (rezadores, chamanes, líderes espirituales) como principales guías y agentes de esta relación. Inmersos en un paisaje cosmológico en el que diferentes mundos están conectados por diferentes lenguajes, las imágenes y los sonidos del cine de Ascuri -así como los cuerpos-objetos que los producen y almacenan- se integran también como elementos activos en este campo de mediaciones. Este relato descreve, em palavras e imagens, o processo de realização do filme “Mokõi Kovoe”, uma produção da Associação Cultural de Realizadores Indígenas (Ascuri) desenvolvida em comunidades do povo Kaiowá. Trata-se de uma breve história de como o mito de origem do pássaro sagrado Kovoe percorreu diferentes tempos, suportes, grafias e linguagens até expressar-se em cinema. O relato estrutura-se em torno de dois eixos: primeiro, o caráter comunitário desse processo de produção fílmica, proporcionando uma experiência de retomada do teko joja (jeito harmonioso de ser), depois, a relação entre este processo e o yvy rendy (mundo espiritual), sendo os ñanderu e as ñandesy (rezadores, xamãs, líderes espirituais) os principais guias e agenciadores dessa relação. Imersos em uma paisagem cosmológica em que distintos mundos são conectados por diferentes linguagens, as imagens e os sons do cinema da Ascuri – bem como os corpos-objetos que os produzem e guardam – se integram também como elementos atuantes neste campo de mediações.
