description This photo essay addresses the presence of screens and the act of watching indigenous media in the Aiha village of the Kalapalo people of the Xingu Indigenous Territory (MT, Brazil). This watching, therefore, is not a passive act, but undergoes interpretation, judgment, and appreciation. Through photos and contextualization, I seek to show that watching indigenous media in the village is affected by and also affects a number of aspects of the Kalapalo way of life.

This watching, therefore, is not a passive act, but undergoes interpretation, judgment, and appreciation. Through photos and contextualization, I seek to show that watching indigenous media in the village is affected by and also affects a number of aspects of the Kalapalo way of life.
