Description
Summary:This paper proposes the implementation of compensatory public policies that mitigate the reduction of the workstations generated by the mechanization of the raw sugarcane cut. These proposals look forward the generation of labor and income as much as in the sugarcane areas as in the seasonal migrant worker’s’ original regions, that annually leave their origin areas to sell their labor-force where the cane demands workers. In this paper, besides the unemployed workers’ professional qualification, we propose the social destination of land that will be unoccupied for the cane with the complete mechanization of the cut in the producing areas, as the land reform migrant workers’ original regions.
