Description
Summary:This paper addresses the potency of the uses, counter-uses and ways of inhabiting the street artists of Ferreira Square, in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará. The work is based on the routes and urban wanderings of living in and from the Praça do Ferreira in different temporalities (day and night), especially in the context of nighttime presentations of the Grupo As 10 Graças de Palhaçaria to the residents of the square. Through these people who have the street as their home, act through the gaps and proliferate on the margins, I propose to realize the potency of street art, the encounter and the experience of otherness in Praça do Ferreira. I end the text by pointing out that this place, thus occupied, is impregnated with other meanings and reveals itself as a territory of creation, inventiveness, existence and resistance, therefore, the potency of life that is, in itself, political potency.
