| Summary: | This article analyses a book that is part of the didactic material elaborated by the Brazilian Ministry of Education for the black agricultural community of Kalunga (Goiás, Brazil). The book is part of the Project “A History of the Kalunga People”, which sought to recognize, value and respect the history and cultural diversity of one specific black agricultural community. In the text, we discuss, to the light of the article 68 of the Brazilian Constitution, how to define black agricultural communities. After that, we present a brief history of the Kalunga community, following to analyze the project carried through by the Ministry ofEducation. |
