Description
Summary:The purpose of this text is to problematize the notion of rural world and to analyze the conditions of emergence of new social actors therein. Through the notion of the colonization of the rural, we define the characters that direct the processes of unilateral rationalization of social and biological life as new actors, insofar as they engage in the reconstruction of relations with the natural and social environment. The actions of new actors are inscribed within the context of a field of struggle in which eco-social languages and different ruralities are disputed. Through these actions and as a challenge to the dominant instrumental rationality, a new environmental or ecological rationality emerges.
