Summary:This article aims to draw attention to the politicization of the economy though agribusiness approach as an political-ideological movement of rural businessmen in Brazil and rescue of significant base of atuation of this movement in its search for formatting of an institutionality favorable to the organizational model diffused by the concept of agribusiness, recently resignifying as sustainable agriculture. Exercise that translates a continous effort to the construction and consolidation of the hegemony of the rural business in a capital imagetization context, where specialists in marketing assume a fundamental role in the conflictive production of consensus.
