| Sumario: | This article aims to present a specific aspect of an ethnographic study on Lages das Aroeiras, a rural community of fundo de pasto in Bahia’s semi arid northern region. This research had as its objective to understand de evolution of the territorial configuration in this community, where the biological and social
reproduction of its inhabitants happens through agriculture in family farms, extracting from the land, and the raising of sheep and goat herds in common areas of pasture. Such study revealed that several aspects contributed to the formation of this territorial configuration. However, this article limits itself to observe how
the kinship relations were constituted as one of the major analytical keys for the understanding of the territorial’s formation process. |
