Description
Summary:The active memory is called to reconstruct periplus and migratory conditions of seasonal workers that arrive to harvest the fruit in the valleys of the Negro river. The analytical perspective is to visualize their meanings through the life cycles of the collective family. Two family histories are shown involving two and three generations of migrants. We analyze the socioeconomic contexts, labor trajectories, spatial displacements and family dynamics. The evidence contributes to redefine the mobility of workers in a context of modernization not without marginalization, and to show the relevance of the approach through social active memory.
