| Summary: | This article aims to outline some notes about the main subjects in the current sugarcane agribusiness and their political projects to work in the activity. The National Commitment Sugarcane - tripartite space created in 2008 - enabled the monitoring of disputes through the industry. Although proposed to be "democratic", the interior of this space gives visibility to the existence and maintenance of clashes, political asymmetries and conflicts involving workers, employers and the State. I discuss the displacement position of the actors in the power network, the challenges that remain in the activity and political challenges for mobilization of popular rural sectors. |
