Sumario:This paper presents some of the multiple meanings associated to the ideas of movement and mobility among small-scale miners affected by the building of three large dams in the municipality of Minaçu, located at the North of the Brazilian state of Goiás. In doing so, it intends to grasp how these ideas connects to spatial circulation and displacement; the turmoil that is characteristic of certain specifi c contexts; to the ideas of struggle, autonomy and evolution. Discussing these multiple meanings, it also tries to present the ways this people think about the difficult situation they face as they have not been able to get what they consider to be their "rights".
