A circulação de animais de criação por casas, sítios e fazendas é um importante tópico da vida cotidiana dos moradores das áreas rurais do município de Urucuia, MG. Os "bichos do criatório" são entendidos como produtos da ação humana sobre a "natureza", ao mesmo tempo em que parecem dotados de subjetividades e agências próprias que, muitas vezes, os colocam em confronto com os homens. Os animais em movimento põem em questão os limites físicos esimbólicos de casas, sítios e fazendas, além de estarem intimamente relacionados a diversos aspectos da vida social. A circulação dos bichos está na base dos esforços de produção e manutenção de terreiros, chiqueiros, currais, pastos e roçados. Por outro lado, tal deslocamento aciona formas de reciprocidade responsáveis pela constituição e pela dissolução de vínculos entre seus criadores. Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
