Description
Summary:The aim of this paper is to analyze the relationship between private property, territory and public policies as a framework for the recognition and identity affirmation of urban and peri-urban indigenous population. In order to do so, we present the experiences of the Qom community "19 de Abril" from Marcos Paz and the "Consejo Indígena de Almirante Brown" – both settled in the Buenos Aires Province – and the Mapuche "Wiritray" community located in the National Park “Nahuel Huapi” near the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, province of Río Negro in Patagonia.
