Summary:This article aims to analyze, by bringing together findings from two studies that argued, in its way, the constitutive processes of identities and the different logics of action that inform also various social practices. The goal is to highlight the dimension of reflexivity present in a small but subjectively important ways to reframe or remember aspects of everyday life. At first, we assume the images which are associated with the work of sugar cane harvest as clues to understand the ways of engagement and rejection present in workers behavior. Then, we analyze the memory contents present in the act of remembering lifestyle threatened by the extinction of the places of memory in ethnic neighborhoods in the city of Lucélia/SP, read them as resistance strategies is the goal.
