| Summary: | This article intends to analyze the history and current perspectives of the Centro de Cultura Social (CCS), in its three phases: from 1933 to 1937, from 1945 to 1969 and from 1985 to the present day, through newspapers that reported its activities, such as Plebe and Dealbar and documents from the former Department of Political and Social Order of São Paulo (DEOPS/SP). For activities carried out from 1985 onwards, the website of the Centro de Cultura Social was consulted. Since 1933, the entity has offered activities that favor the learning of its participants, such as lectures, theater, debates and access to the library. In addition, the Centro de Cultura Social is a space for resistance and combating authoritarianism. This entity is a training place for generations of anarchists and a reference in the anarchist environment. |
